About Dr. D.D. Palmer
The historic healing techniques of Dr. D.D. Palmer
Although the profession of chiropractic – as a distinct form of health care – dates back to 1895, Dr. D.D. Palmer revolutionized it through a new adjustment and philosophy. Palmer strived to discern why two people could be living and working in the same environment, but only one was plagued by pain and soreness. From that curiosity came Palmer’s discoveries in the chiropractic world.
I am not the first person to replace subluxated vertebrae, but I do claim to be the first person to replace displaced vertebrae by using the spinous and transverse processes as levers…and to develop the philosophy and science of chiropractic adjustments.
